Almanacs & yearbooks

Almanacs

"An almanac is a record, which contains a variety of general facts and statistics information, presented in brief form. Almanacs are usually published on a yearly basis" (Behrens, 1988:228).

Yearbooks

"A yearbook is a publication, which records the activities of a particular year. The information could relate to a specific subject or cover many subjects, and the scope could be national or international. Yearbooks are usually published annually, and are often referred to as annuals" (Behrens, 1988:229).
