  • The site is easily navigated by using the blue pane to the left. The page that is currently displayed will be indicated in yellow. For students that want to work systematically, the next page to open would be listed directly below the current page link that is displayed in yellow. Pages that have been visited will show as light blue links.
  • The course is best viewed in Microsoft Internet Explorer 6. Other browsers may not present the page layouts correctly. It was also developed for 14 inch screens, which are still most commonly used at present.
  • Browser settings: The text size and layout of the course will differ depending on the browser settings. To set the text size to your specifications in Internet Explorer click "view", "text size", choose "smaller". To set the text size in Netscape, click "view" and "text zoom", choose "100%". This will ensure that the text in the left panel will show correctly.
  • It was designed for online use and not for printing.
  • It contains no scripting apart from browser detection, but it does contain Java applets.
  • In order to maximise download speed, sparing use has been made of graphics. The graphics quality chosen is just sufficient for 800 x 600 screen resolutions.
