Zoology postgraduate student wins award!

Nokubonga Mbandzi, a Masters candidate based at the South African Institute for Aquatic Biodiversity (SAIAB) and registered with the Department of Zoology and Entomology at Fort Hare won the award for the best poster presentation at the recent South African Society of Aquatic Scientists (SASAQS) conference in Skukuza Kruger National Park. Nokubonga’s presentation was on an aspect of her thesis titled: The feeding ecology of Gilchristella aestuaria and Atherina breviceps with particular emphasis on the competition in the Kariega Estuary, South Africa.
