As The University of Fort Hare celebrated its centenary in 2016 it also entered into a partnership with the services SETA in an attempt to skill a number of unemployed graduates and candidates who already have completed an NQF Level 5 qualification. The partnership will cater for approximately a thousand people through various learning interventions and interactive programs that are structured to monitor workplace experience gained through exposure to real workplace environment. This will in turn provide its candidates with necessary practical experience to enable them to secure employment and for the duration of the program, services SETA will provide a monthly stipend as of 3rd July 2017 to the 30th June 2018. All the interns were inducted on the 4th July 2017 by both the university and services SETA.
