Dr N Metula
Dr Nolukhanyo “Khanyo” Metula is a Senior Lecturer in the Communication Department. She has over 6 years teaching and research supervision experience in Media, Journalism, Public Relations and Communication studies. She has worked in other South African universities such as the University of South Africa (UNISA) in Pretoria and North-West University (NWU) in Potchefstroom.
Dr Metula has published papers in local and international accredited journals, and also presented papers in conferences. She has also conducted seminars in Jet Learning Academy and acted as a judge for Telkom Radio Awards in 2023.
Dr Metula currently serves as an External Examiner for postgraduate research in Communication and related fields for some South African Universities. She is also reviewing papers for local and international accredited journals.
Her research areas include community/ local media intervention in community developmental and social change issues, and in media content (quality content production and distribution).
