Beaurel Visser is an nGAP lecturer in the Department of History at the University of Fort Hare. She is currently doing her PhD which compares and contrasts franchise participation in the Cape Colony to that in America during the late 19th century. Beaurel completed her BA in International Studies, BA Hons in History, and MA (Cum Laude) in History at Stellenbosch University.
Research Interests:
Beaurel is interested in exploring the nuances that contributed to the direction of policymaking and how it affects the lives of ‘the everyday people.' Her research interests are therefore broadly Socio-economic and Political History.
