Dr T Kirton-Els
Dr Teneille Kirton-Els is a lecturer in the English Department. She has a Bachelor of Arts, an Honours degree (cum laude) and a Master’s degree in English. She received her Doctor of Literature and Philosophy degree from The University of Fort Hare in 2014 where her main focus was on the works of South African author Kabelo Sello Duiker. In 2015 Dr Kirton-Els was the faculty winner of the Vice Chancellor’s Excellence in Teaching Award for developing teacher.
Her teaching, research and supervision areas include South African Literature; Children’s Literature and sociolinguistics.
