Mr. Sifingo Mbona completed his under graduate degree at then Rhodes University, East London campus with CUME LAUDE in Social Work.  His working career started when he was employed as officer manager at Christelik Maatskaplike Raad at King Williams office between 2005-2006. After a short stay he was employed by the Department of Social Development, placed at Khalethemba Service Officer as a contract worker. In 2007 he was then employed as a Probation Officer, and later promoted to the position of a Senior Probation Officer, the post he served for  the post  11 years. In 2007 he completed his Masters Degree in Social Science (Social Work). After 16 years, in both Public and Private Section he joined the University of Fort Hare in June 2016 as a Lecturer, the position he still hold till today. 

Research Interests: 
  • Adventure/ wilderness therapy, Restorative Justice., Huma trafficking,  Diversion programmes, The connection between indigenous law and legal pluralism in Social Work.
