DR J-D Wagner

J-D Wagner specialises in Nursing Research, Communication, Behavioural Sciences and Nursing Management from University of South Africa. He joined the University of Fort Hare as an Undergraduate and Postgraduate Clinical Facilitator/lecturer/Moderator in Psychiatric Nursing Science. Before assuming this multi-dimensional role, he was a Lecturer at University of the Western Cape (UWC) and Senior Lecturer at Gauteng Department of Health (GDoH - Ann Latsky Nursing College). He was also a Lecturer at Netcare and Life healthcare. He holds a Maters’ and Honours degree in Health Studies (Unisa) and a postgraduate qualification in Nursing Education and Management (Unisa). His research interest is on promotion and facilitation of supportive interpersonal relationships and communication among nurses and healthcare practitioners. He is currently supervising master’s degree students in Psychiatric Nursing Science and in Public health. He is an alumni member of the University of South Africa and Gauteng District Research Committee, UFH Human Research Ethics and University Research Ethics Committees.Dr Wagner has published international articles and has presented nationally and internationally at conferences.
