Western Cape Alumni Chapter prepares for the Centenary

With less than six months to the 8th of February 2016 that will mark the University of  Fort Hare’s hundred years of existence, the  Western Cape Alumni Association will get down to business in a fund raising gala dinner on the 23rd October 2015. Leading to this gala event, a preparatory meeting between Alumni Relations office and more than sixty Western Cape based alumni across different generations was held at the PRASA Premier Lounge on the 24th July 2015. The meeting saw the election of new chapter executive committee with Simo Hopa elected chairperson, Nada Wotshela as Secretary, Treasure Vuyani Lallie, Lubabalo Stemele and Asanda Mbetshe elected as additional members.

Various issues were raised  notable amongst them are, accountability and good governance, identifying opportunities and  networking amongst Fort Hare  Alumni, a program to re-register students that never completed their studies and the university to produce an audit report of all donations and sponsorships
