FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES AND HUMANITIES

SENIOR LECTURER/LECTURER: FINE ARTS

ALICE CAMPUS - REF NO.: 7880

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Teaching of Art policy management course and Museum Studies, Philosophy of Art; History of Art; Drawing; Painting and Graphic art 
  • Practical engagement in Community Art
  • Refining curriculum at undergraduate and postgraduate level;
  • Participation in community engagement programs;
  • Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects;
  • Producing academic publications, especially accredited ones.
  • Participation in general academic administrative processes of the Department

 

 

Requirements: 

 

 

  • Masters of Doctoral Degree in Fine Art
  • 5 years’ experience in teaching & research in higher education
  • Extensive knowledge of Art Policy Management
  • Sound knowledge of local and global contemporary visual art production
  • Visual Art and Museum Studies
  • Philosophy of Art
  • Knowledge in the teaching of Drawing; Painting and Graphic art will be added advantage
