FACULTY OF SCIENCE AND AGRICULTURE

DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS AND EXTENSION

SENIOR LECTURER/LECTURER: AGRICULTURAL ECONOMICS

ALICE CAMPUS - REF NO: 7850

SNR LECTURER SALARY: R 537 636 – R 668 851 p.a. (All-inclusive package)

LECTURER SALARY: R 435 051 – R 540 620 p.a. (All-inclusive package)


 

Applications are invited from qualified and experienced candidates for the above-mentioned permanent position in the Faculty of Science and Agriculture

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students
  • Supervise research at postgraduate level.
  • Generate research funds for the university

 

 

Requirements: 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • A Masters degree in Agricultural Economics
  • A PhD is required for senior lecturer
  • At least two years’ experience in university teaching for  lecturer 
  • At least five years’ experience in university teaching for senior  lecturer 
  • A record of publications in accredited peer-reviewed journals
  • Experience in supervision of post-graduate students
