SENIOR CONSULTANT : CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT

ALICE CAMPUS - REF NO. 031

R 504 832- R 628 029 PA (All-inclusive package)

The University of Fort Hare seeks to appoint a suitably qualified individual to develop, monitor and supervise Curriculum Development and Review activities and resources.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Develop and support academic in curriculum development initiatives
  • Design, develop and facilitate student and teaching development workshops, seminars  and colloquia
  • Support departments and individuals (staff and students) with teaching and learning interventions in the areas of curriculum development and programme reviews, online evaluation of teaching and courses, e-assessment, facilitation in PGDHET,  et cetera.
  • Conduct research in the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL)

 

 

Requirements: 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES: 

  • A PhD degree in Education or evidence of progress towards PhD
  • Five (5) years teaching experience in Higher Educationspecifically in Curriculum Development or related field
  • A successful track record in curriculum development and review at tertiary education level
  • A strong interest in staff development in Higher Education
  • Excellent facilitation, communication and inter-personal skills
  • Well-developed organisational, supervisory and administrative skills
  • Good research and report writing skills with demonstrable achievement in the scholarship of teaching and learning
  • A high level of proficiency in MS Programmes
  • Sound knowledge of Technology enhanced Learning (e-Learning) would be an added advantage
