PROPERTIES AND SERVICES

MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR

ALICE CAMPUS - REF No: 4105

SALARY: R 323 615 – R 479 422 (All-inclusive package)

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Responsible for coordinating and supervising the work of employees in the general maintenance and upkeep of buildings, grounds, and equipment.
  • Responsible for maintaining electrical, plumbing, mechanical, carpentry and related systems.
  • Able to manage multiple demands and work outside of office hours when necessary.
  • Experience in running multi-disciplinary engineering workshops.

 

Requirements: 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Possession of Matric Certificate
  • Relevant building trade qualification, trade tested/ additional training or apprentice in a technical field is advantageous
  • Fiveyears experienceingeneralmaintenanceorothermaintenanceresponsibilitiesthat wouldincludetheabilitytorecognizeelectrical,plumbing, carpentry andmechanicalmalfunctions orequipmentfailures.
  • Proven knowledge of building drawings and the interpretation thereof.
  • Thoroughknowledgeoftheoccupationhazardsandcorrespondingsafetyprecautions necessary for the safe performance of assigned duties.
  • Knowledge of administrative and procurement processes.
  • Sound computer literacy: able to work with MS Word, MS Excel, Internet and Email
  • Ability to think literally and implement innovative solutions and solve complex problems
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to relate to staff at different occupational levels as well as from different cultures and backgrounds and develop a rapport easily with others
  • Possession of a current and valid motor vehicle operator'slicense
