EARLY CHILDHOOD CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE

LECTURER: EARLY CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT EDUCATION

EAST LONDON CAMPUS

SALARY: R 400 000 per annum (All-inclusive package)

3 YEAR RENEWABLE CONTRACT

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Teaching in Early Childhood Care and Education  and in General Education and Training Programmes
  • Commitment to register and complete a formal qualification :  M.Ed/PhD in Early Childhood Education 
  • Participation in mentoring programmes  in order to complete your formal qualification
  • Leadership in curriculum design , development  and implementation for Early Childhood Care and Education(ECCE) Teacher  Qualifications
  • Undertake research either individually or in collaboration
  • Participating in Community Engagement initiatives embarked on by the Early Childhood Development Centre.

 

 

Requirements: 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • B. Ed Honours
  • Currently registered for Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Development.
  • A completed Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Development will be an added advantage.
  • At least three years teaching experience in a primary school.

Included in the above remuneration is the company contribution to our compulsory pension fund, medical aid contributions, life cover and an optional annual bonus.
