LECTURER: BUSINESS ENGLISH FOR ACCOUNTANTS

3 year fixed-TERM contract

ALICE CAMPUS - (Ref No. P316)

 R495 624 PA (All-inclusive package)

Applications are invited from qualified and experienced candidates for the above mentioned contract post in the University of Fort Hare -Alice

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • You will be expected to assist in the academic programme of the accounting Department at UFH by delivering lectures and giving assistance to undergraduate students in Foundation English.  
  • This is a practical course focused on writing and comprehension skills so the person in the position needs to be very clear about these skills her/himself.
  • The applicants also need an understanding of the difficulties faced by 2nd language English speakers.
  • The purpose of this subject is to strengthen the foundation of the English knowledge acquired at Matric level that is needed for later studies in Accounting and Auditing.

 

Requirements: 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Applicants must be in possession of a Masters’ degree or substantial progress towards a Masters with English as a major will be considered.
  • A recognised teaching qualification or a willingness to work towards achieving this would be desirable.
  • Good administration, communication and interpersonal skills together with a commitment to working effectively as part of a team are also essential.
