SALARY: R 664 424 – R 827 335 PA (All-inclusive package)

5 YEAR FIXED-TERM CONTRACT

 

The Centre is the partnership project between the University of Fort Hare and the Department of Sports, Recreation, Arts and Culture.The Director is employed by the University of Fort Hare and is subject to the UFH policies. Main purpose of the position: The Director will be responsible for the strategic development, financial planning and sustainability of the centre.The Centre serves four mandates namely:Recording; Commercial, Talent Development and Academic Centre ofExcellence.

 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Overall Management of the facility.
  • Oversite of all Divisions of the Centre namely: UFH Music Department; ECAVC Cafe; ECAVC Music Store; ECAVC Record Label; ECAVC Recording Studio; ECAVCFilm.
  • Risk, financial and Human Resource Management.
  • Fundraising for theCentre
  • Strategic Management 

 

Requirements: 

REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Master's qualification in Music or equivalent qualification in a related field.
  • At least three years senior management experience in a complex audio visualsetting.
  • Qualification in programming and installation.
  • Knowledge and experience of audio visual media environment and technical aspects.
  • Ability to establish partnership with strategic stakeholders.
  • Strong financial management skills with experience in resource allocation and tracking.
  • Ability to fundraise; Good report-writingskills.
  • The ability to maintain sound interpersonal relationships.
  • Experience in project management
