CONTRACTS SPECIALIST: PROCUREMENT/SCM

EAST LONDON CAMPUS – REF NO: 2258

R 435 051 – R 540 620 p.a. (All-inclusive package)

 


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • M + 3 LLB/Bcom (Law) 3 year qualification or an equivalent of NQF Level 6 qualification as recognized by SAQA;
  • 3 - 5 years working experience in Tender & Contracts management experience in a procurement environment
  • At least 2 years management or supervisory level within a procurement environment

 

 

Requirements: 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: 

  • Draft and scrutinize SLA (Service Level Agreements), Contracts and other legally binding documents with third parties
  • Draft and scrutinize modifications to existing contracts
  • Develop implement and monitor the contracts management process to ensure good governance in terms of the policy and relevant legislative requirements
  • Monitor vendor performance in terms of contracts
  • Risk Management
  • Management reporting and Strategically manage the contracts management unit within procurement
  • Arbitrates claims or complaints occurring in performance of contracts
  • Analyses price proposals, financial reports and other data to determine reasonable prices
