TEACHING AND LEARNING CENTRE

CONSULTANT: TECHNOLOGY-ENHANCED LEARNING (TeL)

ALICE CAMPUS - REF NO: 698

R 408 499 – R 507 624 PA (All-inclusive package)

The successful individual will develop, monitor and supervise Technology-enhanced Learning activities and resources, and train and monitor student facilitators

 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Design and implement TeL resources and activities
  • Develop academics and train students in the use of TeL technologies
  • Liaise with academics and other role players
  • Conduct research
  • Perform marketing and other TLC services

 

 

Requirements: 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • A Masters degree in Education or other qualification relevant to the post
  • Three (3) years’ experience in teaching and/or supporting learning in higher education
  • Training and experience in the SI Model and strong interest in student development and Technology enhanced Learning
  • Evidence of professional development in the various areas of teaching and learning in higher education
  • Excellent facilitation, communication and inter-personal skills
  • Well-developed organisational, supervisory and administrative skills
  • Good research and report writing skills
  • A high level of proficiency in MS Programmes. Knowledge, VLE administration, Web 2.0 technologies
