CLINICAL FACILITATOR : HEALTH SCIENCES

EAST LONDON CAMPUS - REF NO. P233

R 345 774 PA (2 YEAR FIXED-TERM CONTRACT)

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Facilitate development of curriculum for new programmes in the faculty of health Sciences
  • Identify needs for development of new programmes in each department
  • Facilitate approval of programmes following the internal quality assurance processes
  • Prepare for and ensure submission of programmes to external quality assurance bodies such as DHET, CHE and SAQA
  • Provide guidance to Faculty staff on the process of curriculum development and accreditation
  • Submit and follow up programmes for external review
  • Conduct research and publish work on curriculum development and accreditation to accredited journals
  • Ensure annual evaluation of faculty programmes at all levels

 

Requirements: 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • Advanced qualification in curriculum development and stakeholder mapping and animatio
  • At least 5 years’ experience in relevant role in teaching, curriculum development and management of adult learning situations
  • Teaching qualification at an advanced level, including Masters degree, a PhD is highly recommended
  • Facilitation and presentation skills
  • Computer literacy
  • Research capability including supervision of postgraduate students
  • Attend workshops, seminars and conferences
  • Excellent People Skills
  • Information Technology Skills
  • Excellent Writing Skills
  • Self-Driven and Hard working
